EtherWAN SG300 Series SmartE Hardened Managed 5 to 16-Port Fast/Gigabit Ethernet Switch

The SG300 belongs to EtherWAN's SmartE line, a family of hardened Layer 2 managed Ethernet switches built for cabinets, roadside enclosures and plant rooms rather than comms rooms. It is fanless, uses industrial-grade components and is rated from -40 to 75 degrees C, with an IP30 metal case and reverse-polarity-protected redundant 12-57 VDC input. Installation is DIN-rail, with panel mounting as an option.

Management is the point of the SmartE rather than raw port count: web GUI over HTTP or HTTPS, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, CLI over Telnet or SSH, role-based users, 802.1Q VLANs, 802.1x access control with RADIUS, IGMP snooping, eight QoS priority queues per port, and redundancy through 802.1w RSTP, Fast Ring Detection and IEC 62439-2 MRP as manager or client. A mode button on the front covers factory reset, a fixed IP address, IP reconfiguration and unmanaged operation, which is what makes a field swap quick. Three gigabit models are listed here, from a 6-port copper plus 2 SFP unit to a 16-port all-copper unit.
