Dynacord CMS 1600-3 16-Channel Compact Mixing System
The CMS 1600-3 is the 16-channel member of Dynacord's CMS 3 series, an unpowered compact mixing system built around discrete low-noise microphone preamps. The mic/line channels use electronically balanced XLR inputs with typical distortion of 0.002 percent, a three-band equalizer, FX, AUX and monitor sends, and a switchable 80 Hz low-cut for rumble. Phantom power at +48V is switched centrally for condenser microphones.
Two effects processors sit in the frame with 100 factory presets and 20 user memories, and a stereo EQ works across the main mix. The 4x4 24-bit/96 kHz USB interface handles recording and playback and carries MIDI for external FX control, which removes a separate interface from the rack. A large high-contrast OLED display shows what is patched and what is running, and the whole console is built around components such as ALPS faders and potentiometers.
