Crestron DIN-AP3
The Crestron DIN-AP3 is a 3-Series automation processor in a DIN rail form factor, built to run the control program for a networked home or commercial building from inside an electrical enclosure. Rather than occupying rack space, it snaps onto a standard 35mm DIN rail alongside other Crestron and third-party DIN rail modules, making it a space-efficient and modular way to assemble a complete automation system in a wall-mount panel.
The DIN-AP3 carries the 3-Series control engine with built-in control ports, high-speed Ethernet, and a Cresnet port that supplies both power and data to Cresnet devices. Its network stack supports BACnet/IP for integration with building management systems (up to 500 BACnet objects when dedicated to that role), along with FIPS 140-2 encryption, IEEE 802.1X, and Active Directory authentication for secure deployment. RS-232/422/485 ports handle two-way control of serial devices up to 115.2k baud.
