Crestron CBL-4K-USBC-HD Active USB-C to HDMI Converter Cable
The CBL-4K-USBC-HD does the conversion inside the cable, so a laptop or other source with a USB Type-C output plugs straight into an HDMI input with nothing else in the signal path. It carries 18 Gbps of TMDS bandwidth, resolutions to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, and 4:4:4 color at 24-bit depth or 4:2:2 at 36-bit. HBR audio, EDID and HDCP 2.2 all pass, which is what keeps a protected source on screen in a conference room.
The cable is directional and draws its power from the USB Type-C end. It cannot be reversed to convert HDMI back to USB-C, so orient it source to sink at install time. A gold-plated USB Type-C male sits at the source end and a gold-plated HDMI Type A male at the display end, both in sculpted ABS boots with soft PVC strain relief over a black PVC jacket. The 6 foot run uses 30 AWG double-shielded conductors and the 12 foot run steps up to 28 AWG.
