Crestron AMP 1200 70
The Crestron AMP-1200-70 is a single-channel Class D power amplifier that delivers 200 watts onto a 70V constant-voltage distribution line. Constant-voltage wiring lets one amplifier feed a long chain of ceiling or wall speakers with minimal loss over inexpensive cable, which makes it a practical engine for paging, background music, and commercial sound across a building.
A modular chassis is the point of the AMP-1200 series. Each unit ships with the hardware to surface mount, rack mount, or gang alongside other Crestron modular amplifiers, so a rack can be built up channel by channel as a job requires. Convection cooling keeps it fanless and silent, balanced and unbalanced inputs accept a mono or summed stereo source through a detachable terminal block or RCA jacks, and the amplifier drops into a low-power standby state after 25 minutes without signal, returning to full output the instant audio reappears.
