Countryman B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone - Cocoa, Fixed Connector
At one tenth of an inch in diameter the B6 element is thinner than the cable on most lavaliers, which is what makes it the mic that goes where nothing else fits: taped at the hairline, threaded into a wig, tucked behind a button, or laid on the outside of a costume where it can actually hear the performer. Five colors cover clothing, hair, and skin tones, and the white caps take permanent marker for an exact match to a specific costume. Weight is 0.07 oz, so tape and cloth hold it without help.
The swappable protective caps do double duty: they seal the element against sweat and makeup, and each one shapes the response at 15 kHz, so a +0, +4, or +8 cap sets how much sibilance and crispness the mic delivers. This fixed-connector is offered in three sensitivities, W4 for chest and lapel work, W5 for use as a head mic in theater, and W6 for instruments and close placement, with up to 140 dB SPL capability on 48 V phantom.
