Clear-Com MB100 Portable Base Station

The MB100 is the portable base station for the Clear-Com DX100 digital wireless intercom, a 2.4 GHz license-free system you can set down on a road case and have talking in minutes. Four people can hold hands-free, full-duplex conversations at once, and the base supports up to 15 registered users in total, so a crew can share the channel on push-to-talk while the key positions stay latched. Digital frequency-hopping spread spectrum with 64-bit encryption and dual-slot diversity antennas keeps the audio clear and closed to anyone outside the system.

Its real advantage is how it takes power: six 1.5V AA cells, an optional rechargeable BAT850 pack, a 12V DC automotive adapter, or the 100/240V AC supply, which makes it as usable in a parking lot or on a crane as it is in a control room. Weather-proofed gaskets protect the electronics outdoors, front-panel controls handle registration and reset, and a remote unlatch function shuts down a beltpack someone left keyed. Beltpacks interchange with a DX200 base, so existing inventory carries over. The MB100 is the base station by itself; beltpacks, headsets, and batteries are separate.
