Clear-Com BS121 Base Station
The BS121 is the base station at the center of Clear-Com's DX121 one-to-one wireless intercom, a single-channel 2.4 GHz system that needs no frequency license and no coordination meeting. It carries one full-duplex wireless user plus three more on push-to-transmit, and it earns its keep by plugging straight into the headset jack of a hardwired intercom station or into a 4-wire matrix port, which turns an existing wired partyline into a hybrid wired/wireless system without rewiring anything. Audio rides on frequency-hopping spread spectrum with 64-bit encryption and dual-slot diversity, so the call stays private and stays up in a crowded RF room.
Power comes from a universal 100-240V AC supply or 12-14V DC, and the built-in single-port charger tops off a beltpack battery in under three hours; a charged battery left in that port becomes a 30-minute backup supply if house power drops. Two external half-wave dipole antennas on R-TNC connectors handle the diversity, and up to eight BS121 systems can run alongside each other for multi-channel work. This is the base station on its own - beltpacks, headsets, and batteries are ordered separately.
