Chief CPA Pin Connection Extension Column

Chief's CPA columns replace the threaded joint with a pin connection: two thread-forming screws at each end drive into factory pre-drilled holes. The screws do not cross the middle of the tube, so the full bore stays clear for cable - which is the practical reason integrators moved to this system.

They also solve the stock problem. A CPA column can be cut to length on site, re-drilled, or threaded to 1.5 inch NPT if the rest of the assembly is traditional, so one length covers several jobs. Grooves along the outside look intentional and double as drill guides. Compatible with dedicated CPA pin-connection ceiling plates and, via the CPA261 and CPA262 adapters, with Chief's standard ceiling plates. Rated to 500 lb, black, TAA compliant and UL Listed.
