Cartoni SDS 100 Two-Stage Aluminum Tripod (T728/2)

The SDS 100 is Cartoni's fast-deployment ENG tripod. One lever on the middle stage adjusts both stages of the legs through the patented Smart Deployment System, and the operator still gets a positive clamp at whatever working height they stop at. Cartoni holds three patents on the mechanism and calls it the fastest one-lever two-stage tripod on the market.

Six telescopic aluminum tubes give the tripod its torsional rigidity, which is what keeps a long lens from winding up when the head is panned hard. A built-in smart spreader and pivoting rubber feet complete it. This is the 100 mm bowl aluminum version; Cartoni also builds the SDS in 75 mm and in carbon fiber.
