Cartoni P40 HP Pneumatic Pedestal (P042)

The P40 HP handles payloads to 45 kg (100 lbs) and is the pedestal Cartoni points at newsrooms, sports and PTZ configurations. A pre-settable tripod extension with positive clamps sets the base height and the pneumatic column adds a 47 cm on-shot stroke. The column is hexagonal, which is what keeps the vertical movement from twisting, and carries an air pressure gauge, a locking brake and a safety pressure valve.

Three twin wheels of 125 mm (4.92 in) diameter lock in six tracking positions, each with its own foot brake and cable guard. Column pressure is set by hand to suit the head and camera actually mounted. The steering wheel has a fast-lock attachment and comes off for transport, and the pedestal takes 620 mm track with the optional skating wheel group. Heads mount on a four-bolt direct attachment, or through the optional AH863 pedestal adapter for any 100 mm bowl base head.
