Black Lion Audio Micro Clock MKIII Master Word Clock
The Micro Clock MKIII is the master clock for a studio running more than one digital device, distributing a single timing reference so converters, interfaces, and digital consoles all agree. Jitter on the BNC outputs measures 1.92 pS RMS, which is the number that matters when the goal is stereo image and top-end detail rather than merely locking.
There are six 75 ohm BNC word clock outputs running up to 384 kHz, plus a 110 ohm balanced AES output on XLR, a 75 ohm coaxial S/PDIF on RCA, and an optical S/PDIF, so devices that only accept clock embedded in a digital signal can still be slaved. The chassis is 6.5 x 6 x 1.75 inches without its rack ears, weighs 2.2 lbs, and runs from a 9 VDC supply on a 2.1 mm barrel connector.
