Black Lion Audio Auteur Quad 4-Channel Mic/Line/DI Preamp

The Auteur Quad is a hybrid design, a fast and transparent IC-based front end feeding a fat, colorful back end through Edcor output transformers, so it captures detail without giving up character. Black Lion calls it the Swiss army knife of preamps, and the four-channel format with built-in metering on every channel is why: it works equally well tracking drums, vocals, or a full band live.

Channels 1 and 2 carry integrated DI circuits for direct guitar or bass, and every channel has phantom power, a -10 dB pad, and a polarity switch. Frequency response runs 10 Hz to 30 kHz, and the whole 1U unit weighs 6.1 lbs and runs on an included external 4-pin DIN power supply.
