Audio-Technica CP8306

The CP8306 is a transformer-balanced adapter cable that lets Audio-Technica's ATW-R1700 camera-mount receiver feed a balanced XLR input. The receiver's 3.5 mm output is unbalanced, so plugging straight into a camera or mixer XLR jack can invite hum and noise over a run; the CP8306 converts that output to a true balanced signal at a 3-pin XLRM connector.

The internal transformer isolates and balances the feed, which keeps the audio clean on the way to a camera preamp, field mixer, or console. It is the correct link between the ATW-R1700 and any professional balanced microphone input.
