Audio-Technica AT898cT5 Lavalier Microphone
The AT898cT5 is the Lectrosonics-terminated version of Audio-Technica's AT898 subminiature cardioid condenser lavalier. At just 5.3 mm in diameter the capsule hides easily on clothing or in props, and the cardioid pattern with its 120 degree acceptance angle favors the wearer while rejecting sound from the sides and rear, which improves isolation and controls feedback on a live stage.
A 55 inch miniature cable terminates in a 5-pin TA5F connector for Lectrosonics bodypack transmitters, so the mic draws its bias from the pack and needs no separate power module or battery. It suits broadcast, theater, houses of worship, and presentation work where a low-profile cardioid lavalier is needed on a Lectrosonics wireless rig.
