Audio-Technica AT892
The AT892 is a subminiature omnidirectional condenser from Audio-Technica's MicroSet family, built around a 2.5 mm capsule that all but disappears on camera. The under-ear headworn design hooks behind either ear on a light, flexible loop that stays put with or without glasses, so a presenter, actor, or worship leader can move freely while the microphone holds position at the corner of the mouth.
The omnidirectional pattern captures natural, even speech and forgives small shifts in mic placement, and an 80 Hz UniSteep high-pass on the power module trims handling rumble and room noise when you switch out of flat response. It is at home in theater, houses of worship, television, and lecture rooms where the mic has to stay invisible and still sound like the talker.
