The S81 LED II is a mini strobe that fires 21 white LEDs through a 130-degree spread, so a small box throws a hard flash across a dance floor, a bar, or a retail window. It is the effect you hang when there is no room and no budget for a rack strobe but the room still needs a punch on the downbeat. It works dry or through haze, where the flash picks up the air and reads as a full-width burst.

Flash rate is set by a variable-speed potentiometer on the rear panel - turn it and go, no DMX line to run and no addressing to remember. Draw is 3W, and the LEDs are rated at roughly 50,000 hours, so it can live in a permanent install and be forgotten about. The plastic housing measures 3.5 x 5.5 x 3.5 inches and the fixture weighs a pound, light enough for a T-bar or a truss clamp on a mobile rig.
