The AC3PDMX10 is a 10 foot 3-pin DMX lead for linking fixtures in DMX or primary/secondary mode. Inside is a 22 AWG stranded tinned copper twisted pair with polyethylene insulation, wrapped in a Duofoil shield at 100 percent coverage plus a cotton wrap and an 85 percent tinned copper braid. That is a data cable, not a repurposed mic cable, which is what keeps the signal clean when it runs beside dimmer feeds.

The outer jacket is PVC with a no-memory construction, so the cable lays flat instead of holding the coil it was stored in, and it resists kinking on strike. Each connector tip carries a colour ring that identifies the length at a glance, so pulling the right cable out of a case of black leads stops being guesswork.
