Anton Bauer HyTRON 140 Gold Mount Battery

HyTRON 140 is the nickel metal hydride pack in the Logic Series, and it is still specified for two reasons. The first is power: 140Wh at 14.4V with 12A available, which was built for HD camera bodies and on-camera lighting drawing hard at the same time. With a typical HD camera a single HyTRON 140 runs around four hours.

The second reason is chemistry. NiMH is not subject to the lithium capacity limits that govern air travel, so a crew flying with a full case of these is not doing watt-hour arithmetic at check-in. At 2.5kg it also works as a deliberate counterweight against a heavy lens on a shoulder build.
