The third dimension in a totally new light! Motion 3D provides you with a very large selection of spatially animated scene transitions. Predefi ned movements as well as an archive for frequently used effects or your own creations make using this feature as easy as adding a crossfade. All effects are based on crossfading from one scene to another via movements in three-dimensional space.
The added abundance of lighting and coloring variations is just perfect for ambitious filmmakers looking to add impressive effects to almost any project.
- The Effects
- M3D1 Plain
One scene moves in front of another and, in the process, is visible on both sides. A colored border is added to the depiction at the sides.
- M3D2 Double
This effect is like “M3D1 Plain”, except that both scenes move in front of a selectable background.
- M3D3 Two-Sided
In this effect, a surface moves in front of a selectable background. The front side of the surface shows one scene, the backside of the surface shows the other scene. There is no border.
- M3D4 Split
In this effect, the two scenes are split and cross-faded in a more complex manner.
- M3D5 Two-Sided Thick
This effect is like “M3D3 Two-Sided”, but with a colored border.
- The Control Elements
All five effects have a virtually identical user interface. The differences are found in the submenus “Effect” and/or “Appearance”.
- Motion Sequence Path
Use this menu to select one of 10-15 motion sequences. Depending on the operator, the path may also be divided into an IN-path and an OUT-path.
- Mirror Path
The selected sequence of motion can be mirrored horizontally and/or vertically.
- Direction
Use this menu to determine whether the second scene should fl y into the fi rst and cover it up or if the fi rst scene should fl y out to reveal the second.
- Preview
The normal preview can be started directly from this window.
- Appearance
- Light
Use this menu to change the lighting of the moving scene. Options include “Off“, normal diffuse lighting, and spotlight.
- Light Direction
Use this menu to determine the orientation of the illumination selected under “Light”. If the spot is selected (fi rst entry), then the light source is placed in the center of the screen, which may look especially good with objects fl ying around the center point.
- Light Color
Select a color of your choice for the light source.
- Border Color
Select a border color for “thick” pictures.
- Reflection
The refl ection behavior of surface determines how much light it refl ects and thus how brightly illuminated the areas appear.
- Select Background Color/Pattern
With some operators, it is possible to select a color or pattern for the background here. First select whether the background should consist of one color (color) or a pattern. The desired color and/or pattern can be selected under “Select Color/Pattern“.
- Preview
The normal preview can be started directly from this window.
- Edges
With Motion 3D, the images are generally rendered in very high quality. You have an option when it comes to the edges: the “Normal” setting permits slightly jagged edges which, how ever, are mostly not visible when the surfaces are in motion.
With some sequences of motion however, especially very slow ones, these jagged edges may be distracting. In this case, choose the setting “Smooth”. This may, however, result in a considerable increase in computing time depending on the number and length of the edges.
- Archive
Here you can save your own creations and reuse them later.
- Preview
The preview is a good means of assessing, before rendering, what the effect will look like later. Because of the large amount of computing time required, previews may sometimes be very choppy in Motion 3D, especially with large areas and more complex sequences of motion. The Preview that is sometimes available in submenus is equivalent to that in the Effect menu. In order to start the Preview, the effect must be in the storyboard.
- Notes
- Requires SMART EDIT 2.1c or higher (or the Casablanca Avio/Claro/Prestige system software 1.9)
- Motion 3D supports the “Power Key” option. Press “F2“ to see the possible keyboard
shortcuts. • Motion 3D can be used with VGA.

| Motion Perfect Motion Perfect for the Avio/Claro/Prestige Editors
List Price: $199 G&G Price: $179 |
|
|
|
The Avio and Kron editors include slow motion and fast motion capabilities, but if you are looking for superior quality and control, then this is the software you need.
MotionPerfect allows you to make incredibly smooth slow-motion and time-adjusted clips by creating new intermediate frames using a patented process involving movement-compensated synthesis known as PelKinetics™. Unlike a normal slow motion, no frames are repeated, so there is no "jerky" motion. Unlike an interpolated slow motion, no "ghost images" are created. Each frame is calculated precisely according to the speed and direction of it's movement.
Dynapel MotionPerfect for the Casablanca Avio and Casablanca Kron comprises the following
components:
Slow-Motion
New images are calculated and inserted between the individual frames of the video. These images are placed in precisely the right position in time as defined by the configured speed (1% to 99%). This ensures that the movements are very smooth. Furthermore, by stating IN and OUT times, you can create speeded up or slowed down sequences. Even extreme slow-motion sequences are played very smoothly. You are given the impression that you are watching footage produced by an expensive high-speed camera like the ones used for live sports broadcasts.
Fast-Motion
You can create professional timelapse sequences of any speed. New frames are created and
are placed in precisely the right position in time as defined by the configured speed (101% to
500%). Furthermore, by stating IN and OUT times here as well, you can create sped up or
slowed down sequences. The picture does not appear jerky even at moderate timelapse
speeds.
Length-Adjust
A scene can be stretched or shortened to the required length with frame-by-frame accuracy
without the video sequence appearing jerky. Here is an example of when you may want to use
this feature: you want to cover a certain section in the video with an insert scene. The scene
that you want to use to cover this section can now be adjusted to fit this length exactly and
ensure no "gaps" appear when the scene is inserted.
Note: Because of the method used to synthesize new frames, clips with fast camera
movement, complicated backgrounds, and sudden changes in brightness are not
recommended for use with Motion Perfect.

| Particle Magic Particle Magic for the Avio/Claro/Prestige Editors
List Price: $199 G&G Price: $179 |
|
|
|
Particle Magic is a collection of spectacular effects comprising three transitions and one image-processing effect. All of the effects are based on many tiny particles moving across the screen. The way the particles move can be adjusted using several options. The screen content itself also plays a role in some of the effects. This archive of effects contains many predefined sequences that enable you to very quickly generate useful and amazing results.
Particles such as fog, snow, water, fire, hearts, balloons, and others can be used to enhance a single scene, or transition using predefined motion paths (like Spicerack or Liquid Images). You can also use a black and white mask or title to create a specific area of particle activity (a burning or melting word), or have the title or mask disappear using the particles (burn or shimmer a title off the screen).
The particles are highly definable as to their number, size, transparency, and activity and are controllable with 4 motion settings: Dispersion, Gravitation, Wind, and Turbulence to make the motion of the particles realistic. The manual includes tutorials on using the effects to make it easy to create motion that corresponds to real-life physics.

| Photo Transfer Photo Transfer for the Avio/Claro/Prestige Editors
List Price: $149 G&G Price: $135 |
|
|
|
The Photo Transfer software for both Avio and Kron makes it easy to copy images from your camera, camcorder, computer and other devices directly to the storyboard of your current project. You may also transfer images from an Avio or Kron to other devices, including color printers, via SmartMedia. For wedding photographers and videographers, Photo Transfer simplifies the process of combining stills for montages or mixing with video clips. By adding transitions between the images and a music soundtrack, a dramatic, effective presentation can be completed in a surprisingly short time. The procedure is simple: insert a SmartMedia card into the built-in reader/writer of the Avio or Kron and click on the Photo-Transfer item in the Special menu of the Edit screen. If you're importing from a SmartMedia card, the images will appear in a window. You may preset the duration of each image copied. If you're exporting to the card, it will copy the first frame of the clip selected in the clip bin. The software automatically compensates for oversized or high-resolution images, to make the transfer process in either direction a simple step. The software also displays information for each image, including date and time, resolution, and brand and model of the capture device.

| Title Effects New Options for the Avio/Claro/Prestige Titler
List Price: $199 G&G Price: $179 |
|
|
|
|
The Title Effects pack for the Avio and Kron is now available and it is amazing! This powerful new
software package contains 33 new options for the Titler, greatly expanding the systems' capabilities.
Most of the effects are customizable, to give you the option to change and manipulate them to suit your needs. (This software requires Kron or Avio OS 1.6.)
Below is a list of the included effects including a brief description of each effect.
Adding Page The text is faded in and out in a special way: The new text page is faded in addition to the old page - the old page remains in the video.
Async. H-Scroll Horizontal scrolling text; the single page boxes are moved at varying speeds. All boxes start and end at the same time. The effect does not consider the horizontal position of the boxes.
Background Box The background of the boxes is gently faded in. After the pause time, the text is added. For fade out, you can choose if the boxes are faded out after each other or all at the same time.
Background Page This effect fades the background only. After a pause, the text is added. Fade out works the other way around.
Blockfade Lines The single text lines (not the box background) are made to crumble into the video.
Blockfade Page The entire page (including background) is made to crumble into the screen.
Column Box The text is faded within the box. The box background is not affected by this.
Diffuse Letters Each letter is faded in and is zoomed from small to normal size. During fade out, the letters become larger and larger and turn blurred. Try short letter and long page fade times for best effects.
Diffuse Lines The single lines become more sharp and get larger as they fade in. During fade out, they enlarge and become blurred.
Diffuse Page The text of one page becomes more sharp and gets larger as it fades in (background not affected). During fade out, the text enlarges and becomes blurred.
Fading Box The single text boxes (with their backgrounds) are gently faded in and out.
Fading Letters The single letters are faded in and out. Try working with long page fades and short letter fades - if not, the result may not be visible.
Fading Lines The single lines are gently faded in. Afterwards, the entire page is faded out.
Falling Letters During fade in, the letters fall from above. During fade out, they drop to the bottom.
Flashing Letters The single letters are faded onto the screen with a flash - it seems as if they are "glowing" out. At the end of the page, they're just gently faded out.
Flashing Lines Each line fades in with a flash. Afterwards, the text softly fades from white. During fade out, the entire text is faded to white and a flash appears.
Flashing Pages The text is gently faded in. During fade out, the text then becomes larger and blurry. At the end of every page, the text flashes and disappears.
Flashing V-Scroll This scroll title makes every line appear with a flash.
Flying letters The letters are faded in from their start position and are moved to their end position and at the same time, the text is faded out.
Horizontal Letters The letters of a line are pulled as if they were made from rubber. The letters are pulled from the right and towards the left.
Moving Box Each single text box and background is moved in the chosen direction.
Moving Lines The single lines of a page are moved into the screen according to the direction you choose. At the end of the effect, the lines are moved out of the screen in the same direction.
Moving Subtitles Moves the single lines along the defined direction and fading time into the screen. The maximum fading time is the effect time range / (number of lines * 2).
Pushing Page The pages are moved into the video according to the given direction. The second pages pushes the first out of the video.
Random Page The letters are faded either in order or in a random order.
Rotating Letters Each letter appears through a spiral movement. Radius and speed increase going from left to the right.
Scaling H-Scroll To the right, the text is faded in with the respective size. Then every letter grows on its way to the middle of the screen. To the left, the letters shrink and are faded out.
Scaling Letters Each single letter is faded in and in accordance to with the settings, grows and returns to its original size. With the right settings, it seems as if a magnifying glass is being moved over the text. At the end of the effect, the letters shrink and fade out.
Scaling Lines The separate text lines are moved to their end position. When fading out, all text lines fade out towards their starting position.
Scaling Page The page content grows from the chosen point on the screen and moves to the end position/size. After a pause, the page is faded out towards the end point.
Scaling V-Scroll The text is faded in at the lower part of the screen and can be scaled to a chosen size, rolls towards the top and fades out/minimizes.
Ticker The text is made to "tick" letter after letter - similar to a news ticker.
Zoom Letters The single letters are faded and enlarged while moving from their original position towards the end position. They then either move towards the screen edge or continue moving in that direction. At the same time, they constantly grow and become more and more blurry.
