Multiple File Format Recording – The GY-HM600U records AVCHD, MP4 and MOV at 35Mbps plus SD at 8Mbp/s, H.264 wrapped in .MOV as standard file recording options. The GY-HM650U adds MXF file recording and at a high-quality HD H.264 @35Mbp/s as well as a highefficiency Web Mode (480 x 270 in 29.97p or 23.98p) in addition to a Dual File Format Recording capability providing unmatched flexibility!

The fastest shoot-to-edit workflow in the industry – Both camcorders record Sony's XDCAM EX™ .mp4 files at 35, 25 and 19Mbp/s, and wraps them into Apple's native Final Cut Pro .MOV files as well. Standard Definition is recorded as 8Mbp/s, H.264-based .MOV files.

Convenience, Reliability, Economy - The GY-HM600U and GY-HM650U both record to economic and convenient SDHC Class-6/10 solid state memory cards. Simultaneous Recording in both of the on-board media ports is selectable, providing redundancy, security and convenience.
