The HDR-50 records from both Standard and High Definition video equipment via SDI, with HDMI output, and convenient SDI loop through. The recorders provide a choice of 1080i, 720p, 576i and 480i recoding formats. The HDR-50 also provides a choice of IBP or Intra-frame (i frame) in HD, and IBP in SD.
The recorded .M2T files are compatible with a wide range of NLE and play-out solutions on the market. Once recording is completed, the hard drive enclosure simply ejects and can connect via USB-2 to a PC or MAC based NLE system. (USB 2.0 to mini-USB cable provided). You can work directly from the removable drive, or copy video files into the NLE's video drives.
